Hawksmoor Partners, the full-service communications, marketing and structuring practise, continues to expand its capabilities with the addition of Michael Morton to its marcomms consultancy. Morton joins to manage projects relating to web development, search engine optimisation, social media and digital marketing.

Michael has worked for more than 20 years in the financial services industry, including with leading fund management and broking institutions. He has specialised in developing online marketing exposure through content building, advertising, search engine optimisation, affiliations and social media.

He has a proven career in financial services marketing with some very big names, and understands the complexities faced by fund managers and other financial services firms when it comes to online marketing. With the advent of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) next year, financial services firms are going to be facing even more challenges when it comes to managing their client and marketing data. Some of the traditional methods of engagement with potential clients online will no longer be available.

The creation of a dedicated digital marketing function within Hawksmoor comes as more of our clients seek advice on the best way to represent themselves on the web, and turn to social media as a means of communicating their message.

Michael also has experience of working with professional design agencies and can work within design and marketing parameters as established by brand guidelines.
