Vanya has spent over 20 years working in the media and communications industries, specialising in particular in the commodities, natural resources and energy sectors.
Vanya focuses on helping companies in the mining, oil, alternative energy and more general commodities industries with their communications and marketing requirements as well as helping to source appropriate structuring and capital raising solutions.
Vanya worked for Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal for over 10 years, where she covered a number of beats, including oil, gas and power sectors, raw materials including metals traded on the London Metals Exchange and coffee and cocoa.
More recently she has also specialised in alternative energy sources and the minor metals and rare earths market, where she contributed to coverage by Bloomberg and specialised news services.
Vanya has appeared on CNBC and has provided commentary to a number of magazines and websites. She won an award from the Colombia School of Journalism for her work on the BAFTA award winning documentary, The Death of Yugoslavia, and has also worked on other television documentaries.
She has an MSc in Physics and Ocean Science and speaks Russian and German.
